Luca Ziberna is Researcher in Petrology and Petrography at the Department of Mathematics and Geosciences, University of Trieste, Italy, since January 2019. He was previously a post-doctoral researcher at the Bayerisches Geoinstitut, University of Bayreuth, Germany and at the School of Earth Science, University of Bristol, UK. Luca's research interests include thermodynamic modelling and thermobarometry of igneous cumulates, mantle rocks and basaltic magmas, mineralogy and petrology of the crust-mantle transition zone, and cutting-edge techniques to measure the oxidation state of iron in crust and mantle minerals.
